What is Intern Cook Islands?
Developed by the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation, this programme introduces young Cook Island graduates to Cook Islands businesses with the mutual opportunity to work together to develop their skills and expand their knowledge in their preferred field within hospitality and tourism.
Interns receive practical work experience in the Cook Islands whilst developing their overall business skills. Internships are key to building confidence and employers are more likely to employ a graduate who has had extensive work experience.
How does it work?
Cook Islands Tourism Corporation are working in collaboration with local businesses to match suitable graduates to their ideal career field. This provides our Cook Islands businesses with the support they require to be successful as well as molding our young people into exceptional professionals. The internships vary in timeframe and field. Businesses will sometimes offer compensation for work completed, at their own discretion. This is often in the form of an allowance, credit, or accommodation.
