Owner-Guide Butch Leone of Aitutaki Blue Lagoon Fly fish is located on the beautiful Island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands in the Southern Pacific ocean. Butch Leone is the most experienced fly fisherman and fly fishing guide on the Aitutaki lagoon along with having the longest running fly fishing guide service on Aitutaki. Butch started and learned to fly fish in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and then refined his skills on the blue ribbon waters of Central and Coastal Oregon on trout. His saltwater skills were helped out by fishing for strippers and other species on the Outer Banks area of the East Coast of the United States. Butch has been fly fishing and guiding on the Aitutaki lagoon now for over 13 years.

The bonefish are big by anyones standards. The average bonefish measures out at about 28 to 30 inches, with many larger. The trevally in the Aitutaki lagoon will always give you a good fight and keep you on your toes. Other species that you may hook into in the lagoon are queenfish, snapper and some barracuda.
