The event is a staple on the Cook Islands' sporting event calendar taking place in Aitutaki from the 30th November – 4th December 2020. Motu2Motu Aitutaki is now a multi award winning event having picked up two awards, Winners of the Festivals and Events Award and Outer Island Award for 2015/2016 at the Air New Zealand Cook Island National Tourism Awards.  2019 was a sell out event with all 12 canoes on the water so don't delay registrations. 

 

30 November 2020 - 4 December 2020

A week of paddling fun. Monday the 30th November sees the Women's and Men's 12KM Team Iron races, Tuesday 1st December Motu2Motu Aitutaki 36KM mixed changeover race and evening prize giving. Thursday is our 250m fun sprint day with all proceeds going to a local charity.

2017 and 2018 saw all 10 outriggers in the water, with 2019 event being the first sell out with a lot of returning paddlers from around the globe.
