This beautifully presented iconic restaurant: the Tamarind House Restaurant & Bar is located on the island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. A well restored heritage colonial house set on 2.5 acres of lawns sweeping down to the lagoon. It is situated just three minutes drive from the town centre, Avarua. Diners enjoy a feeling of nostalgia for a golden era in the peaceful seclusion of this truly unique tropical setting.

In beautiful surroundings one can enjoy espresso coffee, desserts, lunch, dinner or just some fine wines or a cocktail on the veranda overlooking the palm-shaded lawns to the ocean. An ever-changing menu of the finest local and international dishes with a Pacific twist, plus quality wine and beverages. All our tables throughout the restaurant have a sea view during daylight hours. Lower verandah Deck edge (front) tables will not be held and are given to confirmed reservations in order of arrival from 5:30pm.
Please no children under 7 in the main restaurant after 7:00 PM.
