The People’s Choice Awards (PCA) shine a light on the real stars of the Cook Islands: the people who make our islands feel like home. Grounded in our Kia Orana values, the PCA is a commumity initiative that invites locals and visitors alike to celebrate those who go above and beyond to deliver warm, authentic, and unforgettable experiences.
Tour Guide of the Year Finalists - Tangata Kave Karere o te Mata'iti
Recognises an individual who creates unforgettable visitor experiences by sharing rich cultural stories and knowledge.
Hospitality Hero Finalists - Aka'epaepaanga i te To'a
Celebrates an individual whether working in food and beverage, accommodation, or retail who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable service for guests.
Mana Tiaki Guardian Finalists - Akono'anga i te Mana Tiaki
Honours an individual who actively preserves and protects the Cook Islands' environment and culture, upholding the values of their community and inspiring others to do the same.
Pa Enua Ambassador Finalists - Tangata Kite Karere o te Pa Enua
Showcases an individual who actively promotes tourism in the Pa Enua, sharing its unique culture and experiences with the world.
Innovation Icon Finalists - Tangata Akatupu i te kite O'u
Shines a light on an individual who thinks outside the box. Innovation isn't just about technology, but about new ways of thinking, working, or creating value. This could be through the tools they use, the experiences they create, or the way they blend traditional knowledge and practices with modern approaches.
WHAT TO EXPECT
STEP 1 - NOMINATE
Tuesday 1 September, 12PM - Tuesday 8 September, 12PM 2026
Think of someone who made your day, your trip, or your island a better place. Then tell us about them on our online nomination form - it takes about two minutes.
Anyone can nominate, locals and visitors alike. Go for as many categories as you like, one nomination each. And don't stress if you can't remember their full name - "John from Lagoon Tours" is plenty for us to find them.

STEP 2 - VOTE
Tuesday 15 September, 12PM - Tuesday 22 September, 12PM 2026
We've gathered up every nomination and revealed the finalists in each category, now it's over to you!
Voting is now closed. Winners will be announced this Friday, September 25.
