Increased security screening for US flights

By
Air New Zealand

The US Department of Homeland Security and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced additional security processes for all flights travelling to the USA. Air New Zealand must comply, and extra security measures will be in place for our customers flying to the USA from 27 April 2018.

Airport check-in for US bound flights from Auckland, Rarotonga and London Heathrow will open four hours prior to departure, so please ensure you advise all existing and new customers to allow additional time to complete check-in formalities and proceed through security.

All customers (local joiners or international connectors) need to make their way to the departure gate early as we expect there will be some queues as a result of additional security screening prior to boarding.

Customers may be required to show a printed or digital copy of their flight ticket, and may also be asked to switch on all electronic devices, so we ask that these are fully charged prior to any US bound flight.

In Rarotonga check in at 1900 for NZ18 from the 27 April 2018.
