Reporting from a very special training lunch in Paris

Last week the CITC Southern Europe team spearheaded a Pacific themed training event with-a-difference with 20 leading wholesalers in PARIS.

Product managers and sales staff were invited to a special high-tech Virtual Reality centre and after a traditional power point presentation on the Cook Islands each individual was given a 20 minute VR tour of Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke. Using Google Earth and Street View applications and a sophisticated consoles the agents were able to land on the airstrips, view the beaches and hotels from the air , the ground or even from the sea.

 South Europe manager Nick Costantini commented, “ Our partnership with the great local Air New Zealand team has been one of the most creative activities to date. The agents were blown away by the experience , they will definitely remember us and the event for a long time. We are going to continue expanding on this theme in the future, its taking training to a new dimension”

Approximately 500 French travelers visit the Cooks every year with the typical French visitor being passionate about nature, keen to visit different islands and interested in local culture and of course cuisine.
