22 year old Cook Islands chef Ngametua Ngaro Tariau cooks up a storm for a number of key media, airlines and travel agents in Frankfurt. Ngametua will also represent the Cook Islands at the La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Junior Chef of the Year Competition.

Cook Islands Tourism invited key media, airlines and travel agents from the Frankfurt area, to an exclusive media lunch at the renowned 5* Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch near Frankfurt, Germany.

The lunch was prepared and cooked by 22 year old Cook Islands chef Ngametua Ngaro Tariau and his teacher and mentor Phillip Nordt. Phillip is a German who has been living and teaching in the Cook Islands for some years.

The lunch consisted of an eight course meal made of fresh tuna, which was prepared right in front of our guests. The setting was in an outdoor area right next to a lake on a sunny and beautiful day which transported a little bit of the Cook Islands way of living to Frankfurt today.

Chef Phillip Nordt and his Sous Chef Ngametua Ngaro Tariau are also in Frankfurt/Germany to represent the Cook Islands at the La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Junior Chef of the Year Competition 2017 – we wish them all the best of luck.
