Aitutaki Blue Lagoon Flyfish
Overview

Owner and guide Butch Leone of Aitutaki Blue Lagoon Flyfish is located on the beautiful Island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific.  Butch is the most experienced fly fisherman and fly fishing guide in Aitutaki and has the longest running fly fishing service on the island.  Butch started fly fishing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and then refined his skills on the blue ribbon waters of Central and Coastal Oregon catching trout. His saltwater skills were developed further by fishing for strippers and other species on the Outer Banks area of the East Coast of the United States.  Butch has been fly fishing and guiding on the Aitutaki lagoon for over 13 years.

Aitutaki Blue Lagoon Flyfish is a fly fishing specific guide service that offers full and half day guided fly fishing adventures on the Aitutaki lagoon.  Our target species are bonefish and trevally.  The bonefish are big by anyone's standards. The average bonefish measures out at about 28 to 30 inches, with many larger. The trevally in the Aitutaki lagoon will always give you a good fight and keep you on your toes. Other species that you may hook into in the lagoon are queenfish, snapper and some barracuda.
