Visitor Survey Winner takes home Black Pearl pendant

Congratulations to Janine Hyde from New Zealand who is the lucky recipient of a Black Pearl pendant for her participation in the online International Visitor Survey (IVS). The IVS is coordinated by the New Zealand Tourism Research Institute (NZTRI) at the Auckland University of Technology.

The survey focuses on the characteristics, expectations and expenditure patterns of tourists who visited the Cook Islands within a certain timeframe. This information enables effective planning and development of the tourism industry and highlights its crucial role within the broader Cook Island economy. As an added incentive to fill out the survey all participants of the online IVS go into the draw to win a black pearl pendant to the value of NZD$1,200.00 courtesy of Cook Islands Tourism.

Following Janine’s visit to the Cook Islands in 2016 she received an email from the NZTRI to participate in the online International Visitor survey. She then went into the draw to win a black pearl pendant.  Accordingly Janine’s email address was selected as the winner of the black pearl pendant prize.

Janine happily collected her pearl pendant from Cook Islands Tourism. Janine has returned to Rarotonga for a wedding and was extremely excited to showcase her pearl pendant at the wedding function.

We hope that this will encourage more visitors to participate in the online international visitor survey.

Congratulations and Meitaki Maata Janine.
