Cook Islands Tourism explore emerging market
Head office Marketing Manager, Noeline Mateariki and Aviation Strategist, John Petersen was recently in Buenos Aires to meet with wholesale partners including Air New Zealand and Tourism NZ.
The meetings held were to discuss marketing and digital promotion campaigns with the proposition being ‘Relax in the Cook Islands’ before ‘Adventuring in New Zealand’. This is the next step in developing this new market for the Cook Islands.
South America is seen as an untapped, emerging market by Cook Islands Tourism marketing team. There are currently just under 47k followers (and growing) from Argentina on the Cook Islands Tourism Facebook Page.
Next steps is to continue to drive awareness and to develop tactical posts to support wholesale packages with the Cook Islands/New Zealand combination proposition.
