Air Tahiti Nui and Cook Islands Tourism Deepen Partnership
Cook Islands Tourism recently hosted senior executives from Air Tahiti Nui for a four day strategic and familiarisation visit across Rarotonga and Aitutaki. The visit was a step forward in the partnership between the National carrier of French Polynesia and the Cook Islands, as both parties explored new avenues for deeper collaboration.
The delegation from Air Tahiti Nui’s commercial, marketing, and partnerships teams, experienced first hand the warmth of the Cook Islands that brought the destination’s "Love Our Little Paradise" brand to life.
“This visit was about building a shared vision and aligning our efforts,” said Noeline Mateariki, Director of Sales and Marketing at Cook Islands Tourism. “We had the opportunity to discuss how best to leverage the Papeete-Rarotonga route and explore collaborative opportunities across all our key source markets with a focus on Europe and North America.”
We now look ahead to activating next steps and transforming conversations into tangible results.
Strategic meetings were also held with Air Rarotonga and Turama Pacific Travel where discussions covered product development and potential shared marketing activities.
In 2024, Air Tahiti Nui and Air Rarotonga entered into an interline agreement that allows travellers from France and North America to reach Rarotonga and Aitutaki on a single Air Tahiti Nui ticket via Papeete. These fares are available on airtahitinui.com
The visit aligns with Cook Islands Tourism’s vision of ensuring that tourism continues to be a force for good for both the visitor and for our people.
