From 25 September - 6 October 2023, 55 businesses went through the second round of CIQA assessments

Over the past two weeks, 55 businesses underwent their second round of assessments for the Cook Islands Quality Assured (CIQA) accreditation programme. Kate Payne, an overseas independent assessor, was contracted to conduct the assessments, including 11 businesses in Aitutaki.

Payne was impressed with the overall standard of the businesses assessed. She noted that businesses who needed help in certain areas were generally keen to learn how they can improve. She was also particularly impressed with the preparedness of some businesses for their assessments, which made her busy schedule easier to manage.

In her general feedback, Ms. Payne noted that the businesses assessed are meeting the high standards required for CIQA accreditation. She also highlighted the positive attitude and willingness of businesses to learn that needed help in certain areas.

This positive feedback is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the businesses involved in the CIQA programme. Their commitment to providing high-quality products and services to visitors is helping to ensure that the Cook Islands remains a world-class visitor destination.
