Cook Islands embarked on a promotional tour across Austria

This year, the Cook Islands embarked on a promotional tour across Austria, visiting 8 cities between January and March. The campaign involved 12 captivating multivision presentations displayed on big screens, attracting interested consumers.

This initiative stemmed from a successful press familiarization trip held over Easter 2023, which hosted renowned Austrian photographer Mr. Oliver Bolch. For 30 years, Mr. Bolch has been showcasing diverse destinations to his audience, and the Cook Islands are now part of his repertoire.

The tour kicked off on January 18, 2024, in Baden near Vienna, with a packed house of 200 attendees. Our Austrian wholesale partner, Coco Weltweit Reisen (Coco Tours), was also present to connect directly with potential customers and generate leads.

The presentations continued in the following cities: Maria Enzesdorf, Hall in Tirol, Wörgl, Amstetten, Wolfsberg, Vienna (at the "Ferienmesse" consumer fair and a separate cinema event), and Steyr. To ensure audience engagement, either Coco Tours staff or Lars (CIT Northern Europe) accompanied each multivision show, providing information and answering questions during and after the presentations.

Venue sizes varied, with each presentation attracting between 50 and 200 paying visitors. This translates to an impressive total of approximately 800 people reached over the three-month period. To amplify the impact, a social media campaign on Facebook supported the March shows.

Looking ahead, the Cook Islands are committed to expanding their reach in Austria. More cities and venues are already being planned for early 2025.
