Cook Islands Tourism embraced World Ocean Day 2024 last week, and put the brand message of “love our little paradise” to the test.

In a collaborative effort, Cook Islands Tourism teamed up with Ministry of Marine Resources, Climate Change Cook Islands, National Environment Services and Korero o te Orau to conduct various activities on Rarotonga and Aitutaki to support World Ocean Day. Held across 3 days, this included youth workshops, community coastal rubbish collection programmes, taramea eradication, coral restoration and Pā’ua farm visits. This initiative supports the commitment to good stewardship of our paradise, encouraging both our community and visitors to care for our precious ocean.
