Last week travelling duo Robert Skews & Noeline Mateariki travelled to the Netherlands and throughout Germany visiting over 20 travel partners in Amsterdam Munich, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf , Hannover and Berlin with German representatives Lars Schubert and Ruth Meerkamp.

They had a variety of meetings from group presentations to individual in office training updates. This allowed them to update partners on the tourism landscape post covid and provide updates on offers for accommodation, tour and dining options.

"What was positive from the meetings is that our German partners are interested in selling dual destinations being French Polynesia and the Cook Islands," says Robert Skews of Turama Pacific Travel group, "so we look forward to seeing these bookings materialise".

In addition, Noeline, DoSM of Cook Islands Tourism confirmed the Cook Islands are about to secure placement in the Best of Travel Group brochure who maintain to have an extensive distribution network of travel agents and wholesalers throughout Germany, Switzerland,  Netherlands and Belgium. The brochure is both a consumer and trade publication available online as well as in print with the added benefit of the Cook Islands then being featured in ten other tour operator brochures and most importantly agent booking systems. The Cook Islands product will feature Rarotonga and Aitutaki as well as the new Pa Enua Southern Group 8 night packages.

The two are now in the United Kingdom and will provide an update on meetings in the next issue of Coconut Connection.
