Tourism Week Launched

By
Cook Islands Tourism

Tourism week has been scheduled for a week in October 2017.

It is evident that tourism is the back bone of the economy for the Cook Islands. In order to maintain and continue tourism as an economic driver for our little paradise, the increased awareness and raised profile of the industry should be reflected to highlight its worth. The purpose of the Tourism week is to demonstrate just that.

Tourism week will encompass tourism career expos, visits to primary and secondary schools around Rarotonga, identifying and outlining career pathways and increasing information and collateral about the contribution and value of the tourism industry to the Cook Islands. We recognize that human resources are the most significant component to the tourism industry and tourism week will provide an opportunity to show the future generations of the Cook Islands the vast potential career options through tourism.
