Young players from primary and secondary schools across Rarotonga are participating in the Rising Stars Championship, which aims to educate and empower youth.

The tournament encompasses three popular sports - Netball, Rugby, and Volleyball - and offers a platform for local junior players to showcase their talents, develop their skills, and compete at a professional level. By attracting young athletes to these sports, the championship hopes to reignite community interest and support for rugby, netball, and volleyball, ultimately fostering grassroots participation and strengthening the pool of local athletes eligible for national selection.

Dates: May 19 to June 23
Held every Friday for 6 weeks
Start time: 11 am
Primary & Secondary School netball & rugby at the Arorangi Sports Complex Indoor
Volleyball held at the Vodafone Sports Arena (commonly known as TSA)
