Cook Islands Tourism and the Cook Islands Tertiary Training Institute (CITTI) have signed an agreement to continue delivering the Kia Orana Series courses.

This agreement is a testament to the strong partnership between the two organisations and their commitment to upskilling and improving the capability of the Cook Islands community.

The Kia Orana Series courses cover a variety of topics that are essential for working in the tourism industry, including Kia Orana Values, customer service, complaints handling, food & beverage service, and housekeeping. Other topics, such as food safety, security and host responsibilities, will be added to the series in the future.

Cook Islands Tourism CEO Karla Eggelton said that the agreement is a great example of how two organisations can work together to benefit the community. "We are truly grateful for CITTI's support in delivering these important courses," Eggelton said. "We believe that these courses will not only help to improve the quality of visitor service in the Cook Islands, but to also give our community the confidence to deliver exceptional service.“

The Kia Orana Series courses are free and open to the public. The course schedule will be published soon on the CITTI website. For more information, please contact CITTI on email [email protected] or call on +682 21471 or +682 22628.
