Cook Islands Tourism (CIT) has joined forces with the Business Trade Investment Board (BTIB) to provide enhanced training for small businesses on Rarotonga and the Pa Enua.

This collaboration builds upon BTIB's existing programmes by incorporating expertise from various government agencies. CIT brings a specific focus on leveraging the digital world for marketing and promotion, with social media strategies designed to strengthen online presence.

Leading the CIT training sessions is Tina Kae, Industry Development Manager. Alongside her is Jeremy Goodwin, Regenerative Tourism Manager, who guides businesses on integrating sustainable practices into their offerings, aligning with the rising demand for regenerative travel experiences.

TThe program kicked off on 19 February 2024 at the BTIB training room in Rarotonga. The duo presented on social media strategies and CIT's Regenerative Tourism Incubator Programme. They then joined a BTIB contingent visiting Mangaia, where the training received positive feedback from both local businesses and government representatives. This highlights the programme’s value not just for businesses but also for government stakeholders.

CIT is proud to partner with BTIB in equipping small businesses with essential business management skills, ultimately fostering their growth and success. If you would like to learn more about BTIB's training programme, you can contact Teroro Totini on [email protected] or call +682 24296
