A COOK ISLANDS PRESENCE AT THE FIRST PARIS TRAVEL SHOW

The Cook Islands participated in the 1st Paris 'Salon de Voyage Insolite' travel show from the 10th to the 12th of March.
The Cook Islands were an honored participant amongst a select few tourism experiences at the inaugural 1st Paris Salon de Voyage Insolite (Remarkable Voyages Show) travel show held 10-12 March.

This much acclaimed and predicted long-to-remain travel show grouped together unusual and unique experiences and destinations and attracted discerning travelers from the Paris metropolitan area and far beyond. The three day event claimed exceptional media coverage and participation including icons such as Le Figaro, all travel media, and an army of influencers and national Sub Radio which featured an interview with local French Cook Islands promotional consultant Ludivine Buyer.

Nick Costantini CITC manager for Southern Europe who presided at the show for press interviews commented “ the show was a great showcase opportunity for the Cooks to present themselves as a unique and authentic Polynesian destination which places huge value on sustainable and regenerative tourism all of which resonates very well with French travelers. We are currently placing more focus on this market as over 200,000 French travel to the Pacific area p.a. (pre Covid) and we feel many can take the opportunity to travel to the Cooks on the new routes from Sydney, Honolulu and Papeete."

During the show dates CITC presented updates on the destination and presented the new routes to product managers of key wholesalers in Paris in a showcase breakfast event hiring a typical Parisian apartment for 2 hrs following a new trend for smarter, original and more cost effective venue choices.
