Help foster a brighter future, all while learning and having fun in nursey activities and planting!
We are an NGO devoted to advancing ecological restoration efforts through the development of a specialized plant nursery and through experimental, Cook Island-specific restoration activities. These foundational efforts support our riparian restoration initiatives by supplying a diverse range of resilient and locally adapted plants. Additionally, our work promotes community engagement and education by establishing an enriching space where volunteers can explore native species propagation, ecological restoration, and the complex relationships between plants and their environments.
Step into a vibrant conservation initiative that's more than just volunteering. Experience the intersection of education, ecological restoration, art, and hands-on engagement. Our project embodies creativity, a thriving plant conservation nursery, riparian and coastal restoration efforts, and an enriching education space. Whether you're an adept builder, a plant nerd, an imaginative artist or just a good yarn, we have activities for everyone of all ages and abilities.
Every week offers fresh challenges and adventures:
- Wednesdays: Engage in our nursery activities.
- Thursdays: Participate in planting and site maintenance.
We constantly adapt our plans, ensuring that our weekly objectives align with the talents and passion of our volunteers, ensuring a unique experience each time.
A suggested donation of $20 is greatly appreciated. All funds are directed towards developing our multi-purpose ecological education center, serving also as both a lab and workshop.
