Pacific Resort Rarotonga Joins World Oceans Day Clean-Up 2024
Pacific Resort Rarotonga proudly participated in the World Oceans Day clean-up 2024. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, we immediately raised awareness among our staff and mobilized a dedicated team of 20-30 members for the event.
We organized our efforts into two groups. The first group focused on cleaning the shores of Muri Beach, starting from our resort property and working towards Titikaveka.
The second group headed out to the community hall Enua Manea in Titikavea, to clean the beach in that area. Our teams also cleaned surrounding streams of our property, roadside and other areas in a bid to collect the most the fastest!
After the clean-up, our teams gathered for some training on rubbish separation and proper disposal of all the various items found.
We are proud to be part of this important movement and delighted that the Cook Islands are actively contributing to the global effort to protect our oceans.
Watch the team in action here.
Meitaki ma’ata to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication!
Best regards,
The Pacific Resort Rarotonga Team
