WORLD SUSTAINABLE DAY 2024
"Sustainability Starts with Us: Protecting Our Paradise Through Responsible Choices" After a successful collaboration between Climate Change Cook Islands and Cook Islands Tourism for World Ocean Day in June 2024, both organizations are committed to continued teamwork to encourage a sustainable and eco-conscious future for our islands and oceans. In support of World Sustainable Day in October 2024, Climate Change Cook Islands invites everyone to participate in a Carbon Footprint Survey, aimed at gathering data from industries, ministries, and community members on workplace and residential emissions.
In March 2024, Cook Islands Tourism participated in a Carbon Footprint Survey conducted by Climate Change Cook Islands, which measured petrol, electricity, and travel usage from July 2023 to March 2024. This data provided them with valuable insights that will help guide Cook Islands in making smarter, eco-friendly decisions and highlight the importance of working together to create a more responsible and sustainable future.
