Cook Islands Tourism North America recently hosted three immersive familiarization trips to Rarotonga and Aitutaki for select travel specialists. The first initiative welcomed Cook Islands Specialists from Sea Escape Travel, Beyond Bora Bora, and Atlantic Pacific Travel. This provided them with current, firsthand experience of the islands' offerings after a seven-year absence, enhancing their ability to promote the destination to North American travelers. Separately, Mia and Vanessa from Ultimate Vacations, a division of International Travel Service (ITS) specializing in unique leisure travel, also participated in a destination familiarization trip to gain in-depth knowledge for crafting authentic travel itineraries. Lastly, two travel agents from Go Way Travel and one from Morris Columbus also visited the Cook Islands, gaining essential firsthand experience that will directly support their efforts in participating in the 2026 consumer shows in the US.
