The Southern European “2020 Love a Little Roadshow” share Cook Islands spirit to Paris

Cook Islands Tourism contingent were invited to present and perform at the prestigious residency of Her Excellency, Jane Coobs - New Zealand Ambassador to France. A select group of French media and tour operators were also present at this gathering. 

First, The Ambassador reminded the attendance of the unique joint governance system between New Zealand and the Cook Islands focusing in particular on the protection of the environment. The Ambassador then mentioned that fighting climate change is in the heart of every Cook Islander, a welcoming and warm people that every  traveling visitor can experience easily. 

The response from media was of great interest in the authenticity, environmentally friendly practices and diverse island experiences available.

Nick Costantini CITC General Manager for Southern Europe commented, “we are delighted to have received such  warm support from the Ambassador personally and  New Zealand Embassy staff , they have been totally behind our efforts to promote our culture and tourism and very much hope to continue building the relationship here and across the region”

He further commented “ over 25,000 French travelers visit New Zealand every year and our strategic focus is in getting many of them to visit the Cook Islands en route. The great support and endorsement from roadshow partners Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand coupled with key French wholesalers will, we hope,  trigger the right response from French consumers”

The roadshow with 4 dancers including 2019 Miss Cooks Islands Reihana Koteka- Wiki and Dancer of the Year Tamaiva Mateariki  , plus Ngamata Miriau and Louisa Purea along with Turama Pacific rep Jacopo Dozzo , continues to Lyon, and then Spain and  Portugal this week.
