The highly anticipated Vaka Eiva 2024 festival is set to bring over 400 paddlers from around the globe to the pristine waters of Rarotonga. Representing va’a clubs from Hawaii, New Zealand, and Australia, the event draws a diverse mix of teams, with 10 teams each from Hawaii and New Zealand, 6 from Australia, and 6 junior teams that showcase the next generation of paddling talent.

Our local pride shines as two clubs from Rarotonga and one from Aitutaki join the races, bringing a strong Cook Islands presence to this thrilling event.

A Fun Twist: The 6K Mix-and-Match Fun Race

This year, Vaka Eiva will feature a special Fun Race on Saturday, November 23. This 6-kilometre mix-and-match event will see 117 paddlers join forces in a unique and lighthearted race, allowing participants to connect and enjoy the sport in a fun, informal way.
