Cook Islands Strengthens Ties with Nordic Travel Market
Over the Nordic summer and autumn, the Cook Islands UK/Nordic Representative has been actively engaging with regional partners to boost tourism interest.
Over the Nordic Summer and Autumn, the Cook Islands UK/Nordic Representative has been busy with partners in the region.
In August, he joined the PATA Finnish Chapter for their annual Summer event – held each year in a mystery setting, allowing time to mingle with the Finnish travel trade before a presentation to the attendees. With dinner and a quiz, it was a fun and informative evening for all. Having attended this event for many years, the Cook Islands is now well-known among the attendees.
Also in the Nordics, in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, long-term partner Soderhavsresor organised a consumer evening for their customers. With 40 potential customers joining the event, Nicolas from Soderhavsresor presented their offerings for New Zealand before Ian was able to present the Cook Islands. Following the event, Nicolas wrote to Ian:
“It was nice to see you in Stockholm last week and thank you very much for joining us at the client event. I’m still impressed by your presentation, one of the best I’ve experienced.”
Soderhavsresor not only sells FIT and Group tours to the Cook Islands, but they will also have their third specialist fishing tour in February, bringing travelers to fish the amazing waters of Aitutaki lagoon.
