Keep it FRESH with our Kuki Airani Community
A fresh new episode showcasing our Kuki Airani Community. A glimpse into one of the biggest celebrations for the people of the Cook Islands – Te Maeva Nui. Each year bringing explosive performances showcasing the magnificent Cook Islands Culture. This year showed that we may be separated by oceans but we continue to be proud and share with everyone our culture with the Te Maeva Nui celebrations not only in Rarotonga, Cook Islands but also Auckland, New Zealand.
We leave the celebrations to visit a young, gifted and brown Cook Islander Cam Young. He shares an insight into his world as he navigates his future and what he is doing to make sure that our Pacific people are represented well.
This wondrous episode ends back in our little paradise with the talented Tamarua Marsters as he explains the magic and beauty behind Team Palmerston’s Te Maeva Nui’s costume.
