Akaea is a boutique massage, sauna and wellness spa in the heart of Rarotonga, created as a beautiful space to slow down, breathe and feel good.

Choose from a range of massage treatments including Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Balinese, Lomi Lomi, Pregnancy and Toku Vea Hot Stone Massage, all delivered by qualified therapists in private treatment rooms.

For a completely different Rarotonga wellness experience, discover our private infrared sauna and contrast therapy suites. Our premium infrared saunas feature optional red light therapy, vibrational therapy and Bluetooth connectivity, so you can relax to your own music. Contrast Therapy combines the warmth of the infrared sauna with a refreshing cedar ice bath, with your own private shower so you can alternate between hot and cold at your own pace.

Guests can book an infrared sauna on its own, experience a private sauna and ice bath session, enjoy a massage, or combine treatments for the ultimate time out.

Everything at Akaea has been thoughtfully designed around comfort and privacy, from our individual sauna suites and private showers to beautiful towelling, filtered water and electrolytes.

Conveniently located in central Rarotonga, Akaea is perfect for visitors looking to unwind after a flight, soothe tired muscles after exploring the island, escape a rainy day, recover after an active day, or simply take some time for themselves.

Come in, slow down and breathe. Leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to enjoy Rarotonga.

Open hours are 9am - 8pm 7 days per week.

We are located opposite Oasis in Nikao, and in front of the Panama Beach Apartments. Plenty of on-site parking available, or the bus stops right outside.
