This year will mark the 31st Year that the Cook Islands Triathlon Association has put on the International Triathlon. We attract over 100 competitors each year with over 80 coming from overseas last year. This is not just a one-day event, our events run over 6 days with athletes getting the opportunity to taste a variety of what the island has to offer. It all gets under way with a Boiler Swim on Thursday 1st May. A chance for competitors to meet, collect race packs and test their swimming skills with a swim out and around the boiler (a Rarotongan icon) and then its a carbo load pasta dinner and race briefing ready for the main event. This happens on Saturday with our Air New Zealand International Triathlon and prizegiving. Monday is our Hash Feast supported by the Rarotonga Hash House Harriers and then it's our Tour De Raro, a cycle race around the island for 32km on Tuesday followed by a BBQ dinner.
