Attaining Cook Islands Quality Assured accreditation confirms that you go above and beyond to ensure your business is a quality tourism product. Cook Islands Quality Assured accreditation gives visitors’ confidence when choosing where to stay, what to do and how best to experience the Cook Islands.
The new standards and guidelines for Cook Islands Quality Assured have been carefully developed to align with the Cook Islands Tourism Sustainable Development Policy Framework and the Global Sustainable Tourism Council Standards.

How do I become Cook Islands Quality Assured?
The accreditation process consists of the following:
- Completing and submitting an online self-assessment form
- Application is reviewed and assessed by CIQA team
- Provisional CIQA membership issued to successful applicants
- Unsuccessful applications will be notified by one of the CIQA team
- An inspection with independent assessors will be scheduled to validate provisional accreditation
- Full CIQA membership granted to successful applicants
- Unsuccessful applications will be notified by one of the CIQA team
- Follow up assessments will be scheduled every two years
